General Description: There are a number of overhanging willow trees growing in the river but they are mostly easy to avoid at present. There are two weirs on the river, both should checked before paddling. The only major rapid on this river,  the "Tyenna Cruncher" (also known as the "Sheep Dip") is just downstream of the second weir.  It consists of a narrow channel funnelling down a 3 m (1:3) drop. The rapid should be checked before negotiation. Easy viewing and portage from the left bank. The remaining 1.5 km is technical grade 2-3 water and quite steep.
