General Description: The major feature is the "Gorge" Rapid. At low water level this rapid consists of a narrow channel about 3 m. wide. At high level it is about l m drop into a large stopper. It can be negotiated on the left. The rapid can be viewed and/or portaged on the right. This can be difficult due to the thick undergrowth. Following the gorge are many play-wave rapids including "Conglomerate Corner" where a large glassy wave forms at above 2 m. The section after Riveaux Bridge has some lovely waves that should not be missed above 1.2 m.
