General Description: The river comprises shingle rapids and continual turns within erroded banks through a broad farmed plain. This section of river is used in the Tamar Canoe Club's annual Ben Lomond Descent multi-sport race. Dangers on this section include willows, logs and sometimes electric fences! Ensure you get out before the bridge since there is a willow infested grade 3-4 rapid immediately below the bridge. |
