Entry Point: At the Gretna Rapids (Grid ref. DN 949 739) where the Lyell Highway (A10) merges with the Derwent River at Triffitts Neck. Walk a short distance across the paddock. Obtain permission.
Exit Point: The "Big Bend" on the Derwent below Bushy Park. Called tayners Corner on the Glenora Road (B62) on the western side of the iver. (Grid ref. DN 913 692.)
Water Level: Any level.

General Description: After the Gretna Rapid the river flattens out and flows through farmland and hopfields. The section has a number of small shingle rapids.
